André Alexander

Andre Alexander's approach to photography is rooted in curiosity, patience, and a deep respect for authentic moments. Rather than imposing a narrative on a scene, he prefers to observe, adapt, and allow the environment to shape the story, whether he is documenting a remote overland expedition, a luxury destination, or a fast-paced commercial production. His connection with Nikon stretches back to childhood, when his father, a passionate analog photographer, introduced him to the craft through carefully composed images and the stories behind them. When Andre decided to pursue photography seriously, his father passed down one of his first Nikon cameras, a gesture that marked the beginning of a professional journey. He progressed through the Nikon D7000 and D800 before moving into the Nikon Z series, and today works primarily with the Nikon Z8 paired with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8. This combination gives him the confidence to focus entirely on storytelling across changing environments, from pre-dawn mountain light to high-speed commercial sets. He also explores Nikon Imaging Cloud, experimenting with picture control recipes to match the mood and light of each location.
